Technology Infraction Consequences

If a laptop is damaged and the damage is covered by warranty, the laptop will be repaired with no further costs to the student.  For damages not covered by the warranty, such as those caused by liquid spills and/or physical damage that breaks the screen, a $50 fee will be charged.  This fee does not cover the total cost of the repair, which most often ranges from $75 upwards to $1000, but contributes to the fund so that adequate funds can be maintained over the course of the year. Due to the high cost of repairs, the school will determine whether cosmetic damage will be repaired. If the school determines that intentional damage or repeated damage to a MacBook has occurred, the student may also be subject to additional financial and other consequences, including being responsible for the total cost of the laptop repair.

Each student is provided a case and charger for their school-issued device. If the case or charger is lost or destroyed the following fees will be charged:.

Case fee - $30.00

Charger fee - $50.00 ($20.00 to the replace cord, $30 to the replace brick)
